About the university

The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan was established by the Decree the of the First President of Turkmenistan in 1997, August 12, on the basis of the Higher Technical College in Mary. The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan is a branch-wise higher educational institution, which is under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan. There are 4 faculties and 13 chairs functioning at the institute. The new complex of buildings of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan meeting world standards was opened in 2010, February 15 with the participation of our Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In the Epoch of Might and Happiness, being one of the fruitful results of the major doctrine of our National Leader ?State-for the people?, the institute consists of a six-blocked complex: administartive block, academic block, laboratory block, block of sport hall and canteen, 250 placed two hostels intended for the students. Academic and laboratory blocks of the institute are provided with the modern ineractive-multimedia, computer technologies, lingophone rooms, up-to-date academic-technical equipment and devices, technical means. All the favourable conditions and comfort are created in the hostels for the students to live, to study and to rest. There are ?Galkynysh? room, computer class, reading hall, recreation room, sewing workshop for the girls. There are also department of ?Technical means?, library, electronic library with the opportunity to use in all the buildings, internet class, academic workshop, assembly hall for 300 seats, an amateur art activities club ?Kuvvat?, students? sport club and sport grounds.
