About the university
HU was founded in 2010 as a non-profit institution. It started as a training Institute for Business and Health Courses in Mogadishu-Somalia. By then it was called HIMILO Training Institute. Later, the name changed to HIMILO College. In March, 2015, HIMILO College changed its status from college to university. It is remarkable that the founders of this university had the vision and courage to lay the foundation stone for an academic institution that would contribute to the Development of Our Nation. Its journey towards achieving excellence at all levels and becoming the nation?s premiere university is guided by its plan that reflects and incorporates the institution?s plan for the future.
