Author disclosures
Disclose financial and nonfinancial relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the work. Examples include employment, consulting, grants, ownership, paid advisory work, personal relationships, institutional ranking responsibilities and involvement in the creation of a system being evaluated. A disclosed interest does not automatically disqualify a paper.
Funding statements
Identify funding organizations and grant identifiers where applicable, and explain the funder’s role in design, collection, analysis, interpretation and publication decisions. If there was no external funding, state this clearly. Do not imply support or endorsement from an organization that has not provided it.
Editor and reviewer conflicts
Reviewers and editors should disclose relationships with authors, institutions or commercial interests that may compromise independent judgment. Recent close collaboration, a direct supervisory relationship or a material competitive interest may require recusal. Manuscripts authored by editors must be handled independently.
